The Juilliard Dance Division, under the direction of Lawrence Rhodes, opens its season bringing Juilliard composers and choreographers together in a unique and exciting cross-division collaboration. The Choreographers and Composers performances are the culmination of the long-running Juilliard classroom/studio course of the same name, which gives Juilliard dance and composition students techniques to explore collaborative art. The course introduces each discipline to the needs, vocabulary and work methods of the other and finds common ground on which both can flourish.

the 12th ppIANISSIMO International Festival in Sofia, Bulgaria

A new CD The Alchemist by the Chinese percussionist Jia Jia Qiao has just been released. It includes Grigory Smirnov's work Mirrors of Emptiness.

A new work Mirrors of Emptiness for marimba and digital delay to be premiered in Denmark. The work will be pefromed by Jia Jia Qiao in a 9-concert tour.
